The scale of the works required consistent application across a large volume of joints while maintaining clean, uniform lines throughout the paved areas.
Products & Materials
SikaPRO Dark Grey was selected to complement the surrounding granite while providing a flexible, durable seal suited to exposed external applications.
Movement joints between pavers and adjoining elements help accommodate normal expansion, contraction and minor substrate movement, reducing the risk of cracking and edge damage while maintaining a neat, weather-resistant finish.
The Detail
The main challenge was maintaining consistent joint alignment and finish quality across approximately 1,000 lineal metres of highly visible paving.
Careful application was required to achieve clean interfaces between the granite pavers and kerb edges while allowing the joints to perform under normal movement and external exposure.
